About Sidetracked

Airfix American Civil War troops defend a railway halt with resin railway fence, PECO backdrop and railway kit hut. ‘Blacked up’ battery powered ‘Train in a TIN’ rolling stock and track.

What is the overlap between tabletop figure gaming or wargaming and the world of model railways?

I am not by any means a Railway Modeller, but come from a family of railway modellers. Playing with toy soldiers is my thing. Railways are their thing. Yet railways sneak into my games and into my history reading.

Are railways a creeping hereditary thing in my family?

My first blog post is really my About Page as it tells  the story behind the Sidetracked blog; https://sidetracked2017blog.wordpress.com/2017/07/28/first-blog-post/

I also write the Man of TIN gaming blog, from which Sidetracked literally is an occasional sidetrack https://manoftinblog.wordpress.com/

For the budget conscious gamer I also  write the Pound Store Plastic Warriors gaming blog  https://poundstoreplasticwarriors.wordpress.com/

Very much a WIP (Work in Progress) and occasional blog, I may in future decide to add another page

Sidetracked, a place where Hornby meets Airfix and where toy soldiers go ‘off the rails’ occasionally …

Blogs all posted by Mark, Man of TIN.
